Braxton and I were on a nice little bike ride through Palmyra and Hershey. You know how you notice things on a bike ride or walk that you don’t notice in a car? Well, we rode by this incredibly cute looking little motel that we’d never really seen before, like a half block off of Chocolate Ave. So we stopped and were admiring it. A cute lady walks up to us and is like, “Can I help you?” and we said we were just riding by and stopped to look at this cute place. She told us her name was Orpa Longenecker and that she and her husband, Dave, owned it. They bought it a year or so ago for around $500K and put another $500K and a ton of blood, sweat, and tears into it and now have the most gorgeous little property! The kids have all helped bring it together, too, so it’s been a family project. Right now they are just on AirBNB but I’m sure that will branch out as they get their feet under them. Every time we drive by now on Chocolate Ave, my husband and I crane our necks to see if the parking lot is full (which, lots of times it is!) and we cheer on the Longeneckers and their cool real estate/biz project! You should check it out when you’re out this way and use them if you have family or friends coming to visit or just want a handy space to spend the night after a concert or hockey game!
