Alicia Martinez grew up in Jalisco, on the west coast of Mexico, where a large part of Mexico's beef, pork, and tequila abound!

Back in Mexico, Alicia's mom owned a restaurant. When Alicia came to the U.S., she worked for 17 years for a local business owner before she and her husband ventured out on their own to create MIAA Cafe.

At MIAA Cafe, Alicia, her mom, and several of children–along with many other team members–work to create an authentic Mexican menu and dining experience. Everything is homemade!

I met Paul, our server and one of Alicia's sons, who raved about his mom and grandma and their abilities in the kitchen.

Online reviews are especially positive about their breakfast offerings, so I asked Misty, about her favorite breakfast dish. "Definitely the Mexican skillet! It has onions, red peppers, eggs, cheese, torisso, home fries and salsa. It's very good!"

Their signature dish is the Molcajete, with shrimp, steak, chicken, mushrooms and homemade molcajete sauce. YUM!!!
