David E Stein and his team make PA straight bourbon whiskey. I don’t know much about that, since I don’t drink, but they also run a pretty incredible restaurant just a hop, skip and jump from my house in Hershey, PA.

We headed over there recently for my daughter’s birthday dinner celebration. Yep, 31 years on this planet for our one and only Marianne. The food was great and the atmosphere so top notch.

As a youth, David and his two brothers attended the Reading Boys Home. They overcame a lot of obstacles in their young life and now David loves helping others make changes and achieve their dreams. He’s an entrepreneur at heart and has been running his own business for 30 years. Check out their website for more info about the bourbon and Hidden Still restaurant. You’ll love it.

Their building won the 2022 Hershey Derry Township History Center Preservation Award! Here’s an article from The Sun about the gala.

Evidently this place used to be the Hershey Extraction Plant, where cocoa shells were pressed and used to make cocoa butter soap and mulch. Pretty sweet history.
