The Filling Station | 320 W Main St, Palmyra, PA 17078 | 717-838-9077
So, the filling station used to be an actual gas station many years ago. Connie and her husband bought it from some folks who bought it from some folks who bought it from the owner of the filling station and turned it into a restaurant. Maybe someday I’ll get more details on that and fill you in. LOL.
Anyway, it’s a great little diner. It’s one of those places that you drive by, day or night, and the parking lot is always packed. We’ve been meaning to try it for years! We were not disappointed.
Back to the story…
When Connie and husband purchased the restaurant in the early 2000s, Connie told her family she loved to serve but didn’t want to be in charge. She managed through several years of leading the ship, but was thrilled when her son, Nate, took over as management and she could go back to simply helping the guests.
I hear their apple fritters are excellent and next time I’m here, I’ll try it!
Braxton and I were able to bike to the Filling Station from our home in downtown Hershey, so that made the visit even more fun!
