The World Health Organization did a study which found Western societies are suffering from increased anxiety and becoming more psychologically sensitive, that their gaze has moved from survival and shift inward. You know, one of the greatest cures for being inwardly focused is to SERVE! Help someone else and do it for the sheer joy of it. Here’s a great local volunteer opp! |

The Caring Cupboard was started by a grade school age Sunday school class! They soon moved the pantry out of their classroom and into the church’s basement where it operated until 2006. Several churches banded together with Palmyra A Caring Community and bought Royer’s Flower Shop at 131 Railroad Street in Palmyra. On October 2, 2006, the Caring Cupboard welcomed its first guests to their new location. |

Volunteers are the lifeblood of The Caring Cupboard. The Caring Cupboard relies on volunteers to distribute food to those in need and therefore plays a key role in ensuring that people in need have access to nutritious food. The volunteer Coordinator is Allyson and she’d love to get you set up to volunteer! Here’s the link to find her, or call 717-838-9493. |
