Bill's Restaurant has been around pretty much as long as anyone can remember. It's a b-fast and lunch diner and is TOTALLY the local fan favorite. Your neighbor, neighborhood shop keeper, and family doc ALL EAT HERE! It's a must do when you're on the Hummelstown Square. Check out the French toast in this video!

Dreaming of warmer temps right now! Summertime is fun time when it comes to pickleball in Hershey, PA. Playing outside is the best. Here's the question: if he's twice as fast as his mom, does John have the right to ball hog when the game is tight? haha. If you haven't started playing this sport, get to it!

Strite's Orchard is family owned and family run and has been doing there thing well over 100 years. They started farming the area in the 1840s and planted their first trees in 1914. We love going there in the summer for peaches and the fall for pumpkins. Strite's is another reason Hershey is the sweetest place on Earth to live!

Reading Terminal Market. Who's with me... this is the coolest food place in the region, if not the whole country?? It's better than Chelsea Market in NYC. Am I right? What is your favorite place in the market? I don't think you beat Beiler's Donuts or Bassetts Ice Cream, but that's just me. Before we started going to Philly often in 2016, when our Temple was dedicated there, I really didn't like Philly. Now I'm in love with it. Familiarity breads love, right? All the history and culture, great food, Ben Franklin everywhere, and this market are just a few reasons to day trip to Philly ASAP. Would love to hear your comments.

We have some amazing non-profits in our area. I checked out Mission of Mercy the other day. They take mobile medical and dental units into Harrisburg every other Thursday to provide FREE medical and dental services to the uninsured. Pretty sweet service, right? I learned how to check people in for their appointments. To see a bunch of cool volunteer opps, go to justserve.org and just type in your zip code!

Hershey is the sweetest place on Earth to live, but FrontRunner and TRAX keep Utah a close second for their convenience, cleanliness and all around fun. My carbon footprint was so tiny this week with all the rail travel I did. If you're in Utah, try the train. Please! You'll love it!

If you're looking for a good spot to volunteer as a family, friend group, church group, or whatever, consider Mission Central In Mechanicsburg. Their mission statement: "Connecting God's Resources with Human Need." Give them a call 717-766-1533. Also, you're in need of diapers, clothes, medical supplies, used computer, table, monitor, etc etc, have them call Mission Central...they probably have what's needed. Philadelphia Steak & Hoagie in Camp Hill is one of the BEST places around to get a cheesesteak. The owner, Dave, is an amazing guy and a great boss to his awesome team members. My friend, Terri Watson Smith's boys have all worked there and had an amazing experience. We LOVE their food. Succulent is the word. Check them out when you're on the Pike in Camp Hill. Great job, guys!

Hopefully someday Burger Yum expands and one makes it to Hershey so we can just walk out our door and get the most delicious burger ever. For now, we trek to Harrisburg when we're in the mood for hand cut, homemade fries and a crispy and juicy burger. I hear the milkshakes are bomb, too. BurgerYum, an American classic! Great job, guys!

I didn't know this big barn was once part of Milton Hershey School. The student houses that were next door have been torn down (see pics in video). Thankful that we still have this cool piece of history!! And the stuff inside is amazing. Best selection of Hershey memorabilia ever.

We had sooo much fun Saturday night at Music on Chocolate! Corina Rose and Grant Bryan Music performed and we got a little grand-baby action. Beautiful night. Two more dates left this summer (Aug. 12 and Sept. 9) for Music on Chocolate. Thanks to Downtown Hershey Association for putting on a great event! Live music in the park makes Hershey the Sweetest place on Earth to live!

The Hershey Pantry is one of the all-time great spots in our area, agreed?? On a whim, I went with the chicken and waffles over the stuffed French toast. It was a gamble that paid off big. Such a fun time with Linds and Brax during their East Coast visit. Check out the video for a look at some of the most succulent chicken this side of Kentucky.

Revisiting a summer roadtrip... I hope you had a good road trip this past summer with at least one Buc-ee's thrown in to the mix! This place is wild! In a good way. It's one of our favorite stops in TX and FL. If you haven't been to one yet, check it out ASAP! They are creeping up all over the place. YUM!!!

What a great time we had this year at Market on Chocolate! Every Saturday in the summer Downtown Hershey Association puts on a great event. Check out the super cute shirt I bought for Braxten (the son in law, not the husband). We love all the fun things in downtown Hershey!

My new favorite place to buy a cake in town. Our cannoli cake was so moist and delicious. Hope you can swing by Desserts Etc. real soon. It's a treat! I meant to grab pictures of us all eating the cake but got too excited in the eating of it part and didn't think about pictures until...it...was...gone.... Oh well, next time!

I haven't been to this cute theatre enough! But I'm for sure going to watch Encore! Home School Productions put on The Curious Savage. Hershey Area Playhouse has 150 seats and you are totally ONE with the actors and singers as they perform. It's great. Hope you can make it over next weekend to support the kids!

InGear Cycling and Fitness is our hometown bike shop with great customer service and a nice variety of offerings. We bought our Kuat Sherpa NV 2.0 at InGear and we love it. The guys even installed a loaner for us for a week so we didn't miss out on any adventures on our Momentum LeFree e-bikes. Greatful for a local business. that's stuck it out during hard times for 50 years. Way to go!

Stumbled upon this cute couple who run the DairyQueen in Harrisburg. They were so fun! Check our this well run DQ next time you're over near Walnut Street! Love me some DQ ice cream. Always. Any time. Forever.

At The Chocolate Avenue Grill whatever you order WILL BE delicious. I'm stuck right now on the Pittsburgh Steak Salad, introduced to me by Jan Zaccanini, but Jan, it's better with the fries IN the salad, not on the side, FYI. Y'all, a true treasure in Hershey is not just this lovely restaurant, but its owners Jessica Gardner Demopoulos. Thanks for the lovely space (and recipes) you're created. Loving Hershey Gardens this fall! It's so beautiful with the autumn decorations. For so long I thought this was just a summer thing! Can't wait to see the Christmas trees this winter; I understand they commission several designers to decorate and display the Christmas trees. I bought the Mac Daddy season pass, so call me if you want to come along sometime. I can bring friends!! And I would love to bring you with.

We had a great time in Clearwater Beach a few weeks ago. I'm going to advocate for you to get some of these little floats for your next water adventure. They travel great and are so fun when you stumble upon a beautiful ocean somewhere warm.

Loving my new hair from DownStreet Salon. They've been around for decades and are one of the great businesses in town, IMO. Owner, Kevin Baker, invests in his team big time; he's always having experts in from NYC and elsewhere for training. Probs why the stylists are all so good. Pop on over there and tell the crew hello. And get a slice at JoJo's Hershey while you're at it.

Day trips from Hershey, PA are the bomb. We live close to three major metro areas....DC, Philly, and NYC. This time in NYC we visited The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, Magnolia Bakery Roosevelt Park, Hudson River Park, Lexington Candy Shop and boarded the Staten Island Ferry Boat. Great times with the kids and grands. And the food wasn't bad either. I HEART NYC!

Pronio's Market is my number one go to for meatballs, meatloaf, thick cut bacon, hamburger patties, Kreider Farms snacks, and so much more. 100 years and counting. One of the top ten things about living in Hershey. Fo sho.

Good times this holiday season all up in the Hersheypark Christmas Candylane. So fun and festive! Run (don't walk!) on over there this weekend and get in the holiday mood! We had a blast and now have the goal to make it there every weekend, now til Christmas. LMK what you think or it!

We are really blessed to have a well-oiled machine serving us as our local volunteer fire department. You should see this place; you could eat off the floor. Hershey Volunteer Fire Company does it right. Don't you love the Hershey's Kiss on the back of the truck? Stop by for a tour or call ahead, either way. They would love to show you around. We bring all of our out of town visitors to this sweet spot... Country View Grocery!! We love their deli meat, gummy bears, chocolate covered blueberries, chicken salad, and DELI SANDWICHES! And just the drive getting there from Hershey is beautiful! If you haven't been lately or haven't been at all, it's a must shop. Hurry, though. I think they close at 4pm today. Happy 4th of July! If you haven't tried Simply Greek in Briarcrest Square in Hershey, today's the day. We got four different dishes and they were all outstanding. The smells......oh so good. Outdoor seating available and also a great takeout option. Sign kick blooper at the end, just for fun.

This little gem is tucked between a Chevron and a Wendy's on I-95 on exit 3 in GA, right on the GA/FL line. It's handy when you're on a road trip to Florida and need something delicious to get you through the rest of the trip. Love me some Southern BBQ. You can practically smell this meat smoking. Have you checked out the Delaware Water Gap, Pennsylvania? It's pretty sweet. Great views and fun to meet the locals. Brack and I jumped in the car for a nice relaxing ride and time to visit. I can't even imagine how pretty it will be a month, when the leaves change.

This is one of the most fun things I've done all summer....Hershey to Mt. Gretna on bikes with my daughter. The Jigger Shop Mt Gretna never disappoints and neither does Mother Nature. The views on the Conewago Nature Trail are just gorgeous and being out in the woods on a little gravel trail on a bike on a beautiful summer day in PA with your daughter....well, it just doesn't get much better.

Croctus Scoteus, my very favorite thing at ZooAmerica, which is a really cool zoo right in our town and just another reason Hershey is the sweetest place on Earth to live!
